School campus safety operations platform

A web platform that ingests alerts from edge AI devices into an incident and ticket workflow, with modules for perimeter, student safety, operations and command reporting.

The challenge

Schools run cameras, access control and attendance systems that each raise their own alerts, leaving safety teams without one prioritised view. Accountability depends on being able to show how quickly incidents were acknowledged and resolved.

What we built

The platform exposes an ingest endpoint for AI alerts, optionally protected by an API key, which creates incidents under four pillars (perimeter, students, operations, command) with severity levels. Alerts can automatically open tickets with an SLA due time. The data model covers cameras, number-plate events, face events, visitors, head-count sessions and mobile alerts, and every ingest is written to an audit log. A dashboard presents each pillar, a camera wall and monthly safety scorecards. It runs on Next.js with Prisma and can be started as a PM2 cluster.

Key capabilities

  • Ingest API turning AI alerts into incidents with optional auto-ticketing and SLA due times
  • Four-pillar dashboard for perimeter, students, operations and command
  • Records for ANPR events, face events, visitors and head counts
  • Camera wall with online and offline status
  • Audit log and monthly safety scorecards

What it delivers

  • Alerts from different sensors resolve into a single severity-ranked incident queue
  • Tickets carry SLA due times so response can be measured
  • Ingested events are written to an audit log
  • Roles for chief, facility manager, teacher and viewer are modelled in the data schema
