Asset lifecycle and procurement system
An asset management platform covering lifecycle, maintenance, budgets, procurement workflows, leases, helpdesk and invoice OCR, with Gemini-assisted categorisation and analytics.
The challenge
Organisations track assets, maintenance, contracts and purchasing in separate tools, so budgets, purchase orders and asset records fall out of sync. Invoices are keyed in by hand and maintenance is reactive. Auditors want a traceable record of who approved what.
What we built
A TypeScript Express and PostgreSQL backend exposes services for assets, lifecycle, depreciation, maintenance, budgets, procurement, reorder, leases, contracts, helpdesk and a configurable workflow engine. Gemini is used for asset categorisation, insights and invoice OCR. IoT sensor and asset-health services support predictive-maintenance signals. A React and Vite front end offers role-based dashboards, with JWT auth, rate limiting and security headers. Property-based tests exercise budget, PO-to-asset linking and workflow routing rules.
